About Nifina
Nifina Limited is building a next-generation working capital financing platform that connects enterprises, ERP systems, and funders to enable efficient, compliant, and scalable financing solutions. We operate at the intersection of fintech, data integration, and risk management, with a strong focus on automation and regulatory robustness.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst / Product Owner to lead product discovery, requirements definition, and delivery execution for our working capital financing platform. This role is critical in translating complex financial, regulatory, and technical requirements into clear, actionable specifications for engineering teams, while ensuring alignment with business strategy and market needs.
You will work closely with the CEO, CTO, engineering teams, and external stakeholders across finance, compliance, and technology.
Key Responsibilities
Requirement Elicitation & Specification
● Lead structured discovery sessions with internal and external stakeholders.
● Define and document detailed functional and non-functional requirements for the working capital financing platform.
● Translate business needs into clear, unambiguous technical specifications and user stories.
Workflow Mapping & Solution Design
● Design end-to-end workflows for core financing instruments such as buyer-led programs and receivables discounting.
● Define data flows and integration touchpoints between ERP systems, funders, and the Nifina platform.
● Collaborate with engineering to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and technically sound.
Product Backlog Management
● Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders and engineering teams.
● Own and prioritize the product backlog based on customer value, market trends, regulatory requirements (KYC/AML), and risk considerations.
● Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release planning.
Compliance & Risk Integration
● Write detailed technical requirements for automated risk assessment engines and credit scoring models.
● Define logic for multi-currency settlement, reconciliation, and financial controls.
● Ensure platform design meets regulatory, security, and audit expectations.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT) & Validation
● Define clear acceptance criteria for all features and enhancements.
● Plan and lead UAT cycles with business users and stakeholders.
● Validate that delivered functionality meets business objectives, regulatory standards, and performance expectations.
Required Experience & Skills
● Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role in fintech, financial services, or SaaS.
● Strong understanding of working capital finance, payments, lending, or trade finance products.
● Proven experience designing complex workflows and data integrations (ERP, APIs, third-party systems).
● Familiarity with KYC/AML, risk management, and regulatory-driven product design.
● Excellent stakeholder management, documentation, and communication skills.
● Comfortable working in an early-stage, fast-moving startup environment.

About the Role
We’re looking for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to help build and scale Nifina from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who wants to redefine how the world of financing works.
